Soodo is a Shopify agency specialising in development and conversion rate optimisation (CRO), founded by Jessica Bong in 2022. Hi, I'm Jessica — founder of Soodo and owner of Patch & Bagel, an active Shopify brand selling custom goods in Singapore.

Through every store I built and every mistake I made, one thing became clear — there was no Shopify partner I would actually trust with my own brand. So in 2022, I built Soodo to be that partner for other founders.

The name draws from “pseudonymous” — we're the silent force behind your success. You take the credit. We build the engine.

The Problem

The Shopify development industry has a fundamental problem — and if you've been burnt before, you already know it.

Freelancers on marketplace platforms build websites that look good in screenshots but don't convert. They've never run an online store. They don't understand your customer journey, your margins, or what makes someone click buy. Large agencies charge enterprise rates completely out of reach for bootstrapped founders — and even then, you're handed off to a junior and never speak to anyone senior again.

Neither option understands what it actually takes to run a store that sells.

Founder Story

From T-Shirts to Soodo

I started selling online in 2016 while studying at Singapore Polytechnic. Every store since — the wins and the ones that closed — taught me something the freelancers and big agencies never learn: what it actually takes to run a store that sells.

2016

Sold school T-shirts using self-taught Adobe Illustrator skills — profits funded charity and capital for a t-shirt brand.

2017

Launched t-shirt brand Kieron Collective, held a first pop-up at the old Red Dot Design Museum on Maxwell Road, and partnered with Instagram influencers for visibility.

2018

Hit 100+ international orders on Etsy, then used those online sales to fund a year-long solo backpacking trip while managing the store remotely.

2019

Moved to Berlin and launched ChunkCase on Shopify — a Microsoft Surface accessories brand. A crash course in multi-currency, Shopify Markets, global shipping, and conversion optimisation on a tight budget. (ChunkCase closed in 2024, unable to compete with larger brands — the business later merged into Patch & Bagel.)

Does Soodo work with businesses outside Singapore?

Our primary focus is Singapore SMEs, but we work with brands across Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Australia. Do you offer post-launch support?

Yes. We offer 6-months of post-launch support. Most clients are able to self-manage the store with our comprehensive handover training and do not require a monthly retainer fees. Most of our larger clients continue to engage us for upgrades to their store such as performance monitoring, CRO improvements, and technical support.

Shopify vs Shopify Plus — which is right for us?

Shopify ($39–$399/month) suits most growing SMEs. Shopify Plus ($2,300+/month) adds enterprise B2B tools, checkout scripting, and unlimited staff accounts. We'll advise which fits your stage.

Can you improve my existing store's conversion rate?

Absolutely. Our CRO service starts with a full store audit identifying friction in product pages, cart, and checkout. Data-driven fixes follow. Most clients see measurable uplift within 60 days.

How long does a Shopify migration take?

Most migrations from WooCommerce, Magento, or Wix take 4–8 weeks depending on catalogue size and custom features. We provide a detailed project plan before we start.

Do you build custom themes or use templates?

Both. We build fully custom themes from scratch and customise premium Shopify themes for faster launches. Every project is tailored to your brand — no cookie-cutter output.

Can you help with Shopify SEO?

Yes. Every Soodo build is on-page SEO-ready from day one — structured data, optimised meta tags, fast load times, and content mapped to search intent. We also offer ongoing SEO retainers through our agency partners.

Do you handle app integrations?

Yes — Smile.io, Klaviyo, HitPay, EPOS, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and EasyParcel are some of the top CRM and logistics integrations. Brands that already use these platforms can easily manage them within Shopify as an app integration. For brands that need suggestions on applications, we will evaluate each app for performance impact and build custom solutions where needed.
