Soodo is a Shopify Agency specialising in development and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) founded by Jessica Bong in 2022.

Soodo implements sales-first Shopify store builds, full-store migrations, CRO audits, and eCommerce strategy for bootstrapped founders and SMEs across Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the UK, and the US.

The Problem

The Shopify development industry has a fundamental problem – and if you’ve been burnt before, you already know it.

Freelancers on marketplace platforms build websites that look good in screenshots but don’t convert. They’ve never run an online store. They don’t understand your customer journey, your margins, or what makes someone click buy. Large agencies charge enterprise rates that are completely out of reach for bootstrapped founders — and even then, you’re handed off to a junior and never speak to anyone senior again.

Neither option understands what it actually takes to run a store that sells.

Founder Story

Hi, I’m Jessica — founder of Soodo and owner of Patch&Bagel, an active Shopify brand selling custom goods in Singapore.

I started selling online in 2016 while studying at Singapore Polytechnic — designing and selling T-shirts, holding pop-ups, donating profits to charity. I had no idea it would lead here.

By 2018 I was hitting 100+ international orders on Etsy, funding a year-long solo backpacking trip while managing my store remotely. In 2019 I moved to Berlin and launched ChunkCase on Shopify — a Microsoft Surface accessories brand. It was my crash course in international eCommerce: multi-currency, Shopify Markets, global shipping, conversion optimisation on a tight budget.

Through every store I built and every mistake I made, one thing became clear — there was no Shopify partner I would actually trust with my own brand. So in 2022, I built Soodo to be that partner for other founders.

The name draws from “pseudonymous” — we’re the silent force behind your success. You take the credit. We build the engine.

I launched my first T-shirt brand while studying at Singapore Polytechnic, and started doing local pop-ups before expanding internationally through Etsy, hitting 100+ international orders in my first year. 

In 2019, I moved to Berlin and launched another brand ‘ChunkCase’, on Shopify, specializing in Microsoft Surface accessories. This store eventually closed in 2024 after we could not compete with similar brands in the market.

I eventually merged that business into Patch&Bagel, which is based on Shopify and has a local Shopee pop-up store as well.

Through years of trial, experience, and a deep dive into Shopify’s capabilities, I am now proudly store-building, optimizing & helping other businesses grow their brands through Soodo.
