When we built Patch&Bagel, a brand we own, the goa When we built Patch&Bagel, a brand we own, the goal was to sell playful gifts and decor to the US and European markets.

We designed a @shopify store that showcased quirky night lamps and capybara-themed products, which were expected to become the store’s bestsellers.

As the business grew, we worked to add customizable gift options based on customer feedback. We also optimized the store for convertibility, SEO, and scalability to ensure it could handle growth.

What started with just 1-2 orders per week quickly turned into bulk orders for these customizable gifts. Soon, Patch&Bagel began receiving procurement requests from corporate clients, government agencies, and even military organizations for custom-branded products.

At this stage, we decided to explore new opportunities in the local market. Less than a year ago, we launched a subsidiary brand on Shopee Singapore—a fiercely competitive platform known for its tough eCommerce landscape and race-to-the-bottom pricing.

Fast forward to today, and the Shopee store has perfect 5-star ratings and a loyal base of happy, returning customers.

This story is a testament to how a well-optimized Shopify setup, combined with market demand, SEO expertise, and a sprinkle of luck, can lead to incredible and unexpected success.
