The Soodo Method: how we build Shopify stores that sell and get found in AI search

Soodo is a founder-led Singapore Shopify agency that builds, revamps and migrates Shopify stores for SME brands. Every project follows the same five steps, from understanding how your customers buy to 6 months of post-launch fixes.

Why does Soodo follow a method?

A store can look great in screenshots and still lose sales, because it was designed around how it should look rather than how customers decide to buy and how marketing traffic arrives. The Soodo Method looks at your store from two sides at once: your customer’s and your business’s.

It is also tested on a real store. Jessica Bong, Soodo’s founder, runs her own Shopify brand, Patch&Bagel, and every technique is tried there before it reaches a client project.

The 5 steps of the Soodo Method

  1. Brand and business questionnaire. Before any design, you fill in our brand and business questionnaire: who your customers are, how they buy, your margins, your marketing channels and what growth looks like for you. Everything after this is built on it.
  2. Customer journey and marketing review. We map how traffic reaches your store, from ads, search, social and referrals, and which pages it lands on. Many brands polish their product pages and forget the pages social and search visitors land on first. That was the gap on TAHAN’s homepage.
  3. Benchmark the best stores in your category. We study top-performing stores in your industry for structure, trust signals, merchandising and mobile experience, then adapt what works to your brand. Proven patterns, made custom.
  4. Custom design and build, including the technical setup for AI search (GEO). Your store is designed around your customers and built in Shopify with sections your team can edit. We also set up the technical work AI search needs: structured data, clean product information and pages that ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity can understand and quote. What is GEO? →
  5. QC, launch, training and fixes. Every store is QC-checked before launch, your team is trained to run it, and you get 6 months of post-launch fixes.

What makes this different?

  • Founder-led. Jessica leads the strategy on every project and a dedicated developer handles the build. No account managers between you and the people doing the work.
  • Sales first. Every decision, from the menu to the apps, is judged by whether it helps your customers buy. See our sales-first approach →
  • Tested on our own store. If a change does not move sales on Patch&Bagel, it does not go into a client project.
  • You own everything. Your store, your data and your theme stay yours, and your team is trained to run them.
